Independence is a perfect 10-0 against Rocky River since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Independence Patriots will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rocky River Ravens at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Independence and four for Rocky River.

On Tuesday, Independence came up short against East Mecklenburg and fell 4-2.

Makayla Tindall wasn't going to let East Mecklenburg walk away unscathed as she scored both of Independence's goals, bringing her season total up to four goals.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Rocky River's offense. They lost 9-0 to Providence on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Ravens can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 300th, while the Panthers are ranked 128th).

Independence's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Rocky River, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4-2.

Independence took their victory against Rocky River when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0. Does Independence have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rocky River turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
