Softball Recap: Torrey Pines Gets the Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Torrey Pines had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They came out on top against the La Costa Canyon Mavericks by a score of 5-1. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Mavericks recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Torrey Pines saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reagan Cullivan, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI Cullivan has posted since back in April.

Torrey Pines' win bumped their record up to 17-10. As for La Costa Canyon, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-11-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Torrey Pines nor La Costa Canyon have any future games scheduled.
