Softball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central fell victim to Southwest EC and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 6-0 to the Eagles. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexia Rubio, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Southwest EC, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-5.

Looking ahead, Southwest EC will challenge Brawley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Central will be paying especially close attention to the Eagles' game: after the Eagles faces off against the Wildcats, they'll take on Central again at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
