Football Recap: Hawthorne Piles Up the Points Against Firebaugh

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lawndale, Hawthorne was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Firebaugh Falcons 54-7. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Cougars considering their six-point performance the match before.

Jonah Gray threw for 186 yards and four touchdowns while completing 86.7% of his passes. Deshawn Cleveland was his top target, picking up 57 receiving yards.

The win got Hawthorne back to even at 1-1. As for Firebaugh, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Coming up, Hawthorne will face off against Dominguez at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Firebaugh, they will take on Artesia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
