Volleyball Recap: East Lake's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

East Lake had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They blew past the Clearwater Tornadoes 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant East Lake was: they took every set by at least 16 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-3, 25-7, 25-9.

Lucy Mondok paced East Lake's offense, picking up 11 kills. Mondok got some help from Jo Jo Wheaton and her 16 assists. Wheaton was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

East Lake's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Clearwater, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Looking ahead, East Lake will head out to face off against Seminole at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clearwater, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Countryside at 6:30 p.m.
