Basketball Recap: Irvington Takes a Loss

Irvington was the 52-46 winner over Yonkers Montessori Academy when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Irvington Bulldogs were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 57-56 to the Yonkers Montessori Academy Eagles.

Irvington's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Yonkers Montessori Academy, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Irvington will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Albertus Magnus at 4:30 p.m. on January 28th. As for Yonkers Montessori Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against The Leffell School at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Yonkers Montessori Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches.
