Softball Preview: Mt. Zion Bulldogs vs. Riverdale Raiders        
        
		
             Mt. Zion is 8-0 against Riverdale since September of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Tuesday. The Mt. Zion Bulldogs will host the Riverdale Raiders  at 5:30  p.m. Mt. Zion is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 18.7  runs per game  this season.
 If Mt. Zion beats Riverdale with 21  runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the  squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two  matchups with that exact score. Mt. Zion put the hurt on Stephenson with a sharp  21-4 win on Thursday. Considering the Bulldogs have won ten games by more than six  runs this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
 The team  relied heavily on  Lacey Collier, who  scored four  runs and  stole seven bases while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances. She is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  stolen  at least one in the last 13 games she's  played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Zion Moore, who  scored a  run and  stole four bases while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Mt. Zion was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .667. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .375 or higher in five consecutive  contests.
 Meanwhile, Riverdale was able to grind out a solid  victory over Cedar Grove on Thursday, taking the game  9-4. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Raiders.
 Mt. Zion pushed their record up to 10-2 with the  win, which was their third straight  on the road. As for Riverdale, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won seven of their last eight matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record  this season.
