The C.A. Johnson Hornets were the 75-34 winner over the Hunter-Kinard-Tyler Trojans when they last played one another back in February of 2015, but their luck changed this time around. C.A. Johnson took a 43-24 bruising from Hunter-Kinard-Tyler on Friday.

Hunter-Kinard-Tyler's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tilayzia Youmans, who scored 18 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Youmans has scored at least 25% of Hunter-Kinard-Tyler's points. Aysiah Bonaparte was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with 3 steals.

C.A. Johnson's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Hunter-Kinard-Tyler, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. C.A. Johnson will challenge Hammond at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hunter-Kinard-Tyler's road trip will continue as they head out to face Swansea at 6:00 p.m. on December 4th.
