Football Recap: Sandhills Valley Takes a Loss

Sandhills Valley extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to nine on Friday, dropping them down to 0-8. They were outmatched by the Pleasanton Bulldogs and fell 62-12. The Mavericks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-6.

Coltan Clouse threw for 34 yards. Carsyn Gragg was his top target, picking up 54 receiving yards. On the ground, Cotter Johnston rushed for 101 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

As for Pleasanton, their record now sits at 2-6. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Leading Pleasanton to victory were Grady Riley and Brennan Lindner. Riley gained 57 total yards and four touchdowns, while Lindner threw for 83 yards and three TDs. The dominant performance also gave Riley a new career-high in receiving touchdowns (two).

As of now, neither Sandhills Valley nor Pleasanton have any future games scheduled.
