Basketball Recap: Memorial Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Memorial had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 42-37 W against the Struthers Wildcats. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Red Devils also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2025.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Memorial to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bobby Rameriz, who posted ten points and seven steals. Rameriz is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last eight games he's played. Another player making a difference was Keniel Alvarez, who earned 11 points.

Memorial now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Struthers, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Looking ahead, Memorial will host Springfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Struthers, they will head out on the road to face off against Girard at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats will be up against the Indians' rather soft defense (which has allowed 58.86 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
