At the plate, TJ Harris was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Kirk, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Carson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Central Cabarrus only posted an OBP of .167.
West Rowan hadn't beaten Lake Norman Charter on the road since March 22, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. The Falcons were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Knights. Considering the Falcons have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Maddox Moore spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on six hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Cole Blevins, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Eli Graham, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
West Rowan's record now sits at 13-3. As for Carson, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
