Baseball Recap: Carlin Comes Up Short

Carlin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 25th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pyramid Lake Lakers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lakers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-3 back in February.

Carlin saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tryston Martinez, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits Martinez has posted since back in April of 2024.

Carlin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Pyramid Lake, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-6.

While Carlin had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
