Basketball Recap: Walnut Extends Winning Streak to Three

Walnut had won two straight games and Logan Wilbanks did his part to make it three on Monday. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Hatley Tigers with a sharp 73-47 win with plenty of help from Wilbanks, who shot 55% from the field on his way to 28 points. The contest was his fourth in a row with at least 24 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Luster, who went 6-for-7 to rack up 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last nine games he's played.

Walnut's record is now 6-18. As for Hatley, they are on a 16-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-20.

Looking ahead, Walnut won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Baldwyn at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hatley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
