Baseball Recap: Alhambra's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Alhambra dropped their record down to 19-5-1 on Friday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins on the road. They lost 9-2 to the Montebello Oilers. The Moors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Oilers earlier this season, when they won 6-4.

Alhambra saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was George Jimenez, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one double.

As for Montebello, their record now sits at 17-8. They not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 11th (when they won 9-0).

On Montebello's side, Isaiah Cervantes was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Cervantes has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Fernando Cruz, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alhambra will welcome Polytechnic at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Montebello, they will face off against Los Altos at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
