Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Johnson County). They blew past the Twiggs County Cobras 64-25 on Tuesday. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Johnson County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ziyah Lewis, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten steals. Lewis has been hot, having posted eight or more steals the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of TyRhianna Brown, who posted 13 points and eight steals.

Several Cobras players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Shafrasia Young, who scored 13 points. Those 13 points gave Young a new career-high.

The win was the third in a row for Johnson County, bringing their record for this year to 12-4. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.7 points over those games. As for Twiggs County, they dropped their record down to 2-19 with the loss, which was their 12th straight on the road.

Johnson County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-38 victory against Hancock Central on the 5th. As for Twiggs County, they have also already played their next contest, a 68-25 defeat against Upson-Lee on the 6th.
