Football Game Recap: General Brown Lions vs. Adirondack Wildcats

The General Brown Lions and the Adirondack Wildcats squared off in some playoff action on Sunday, but sadly the General Brown Lions had to settle for second. General Brown took a 30-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of Adirondack. The contest was a 8-8 toss-up at halftime, but General Brown was outscored by Adirondack in the second.

John Hennessey was a one-man wrecking crew for Adirondack as he rushed for 167 yards and three touchdowns. Hennessey is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last six games he's played. Braden White also helped out as he racked up 119 rushing yards.

General Brown's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Adirondack, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

General Brown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Adirondack will head out on the road to face off against Waverly at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Waverly is on a four-game streak of home wins, Adirondack a eight-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
