Basketball Recap: Lapoynor Skates Past Cross Roads with Ease

LaPoynor won the last time they faced Cross Roads and things went their way on Tuesday too. The LaPoynor Flyers blew past the Cross Roads Bobcats 89-37. Given the Flyers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 516th, while the Bobcats are ranked 1516th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

LaPoynor is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.8 points per game. As for Cross Roads, they dropped their record down to 4-16 with the defeat, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.
