Baseball Recap: Richards Bulldogs vs. Lemont Lemont HS
Richards entered their tilt with Lemont with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Lemont Lemont HS on Thursday. For Richards, this counts as revenge for the 5-3 loss Lemont walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2023.
Brandon Edwards was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
Richards' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4-1. As for Lemont, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Richards will take on Berwyn/Cicero Morton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
