Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Windsor Forest). They took down the Johnson Atomsmashers 34-15 on Friday. Surprisingly, this marked the Knights' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Windsor Forest found their leader in sophomore Jr Rowland, who rushed for 40 yards and two scores, and also threw for 233 yards and one TD. Dwane Franklin was another key player, picking up 120 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Windsor Forest proved: they limited Johnson to a paltry two yards per carry. The Knights' ground attack was stronger, having averaged 3.6.

When it comes to explaining why Johnson lost, don't look at Jamauri Johnson. Despite the final result, he picked up 80 receiving yards and one TD.

Windsor Forest's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6. As for Johnson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

Windsor Forest will look to defend their home field on Friday against Groves at 7:30 p.m. The Knights will be up against the Rebels' rather soft defense (which has allowed 48.89 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Johnson, they will head out on the road to take on Jenkins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Atomsmashers will need to watch out since the Warriors have now posted at least 31 points in their last eight contests.
