Immokalee and Gulf Coast pushed the score to  36-30 the last time they played Gulf Coast, but  on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Indians sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  13-10  win over the Sharks. Those 13 points were actually the fewest the Indians have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.
 Marshon Jackson continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 35 yards and a pair of  TDs. He didn't just play on offense: he also made two total tackles and defended one pass in addition to snagging  an  interception.
 Immokalee didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Kendrick Perry and  Jackson.  Izzy Lobe was another major factor on D,  picking up  two  sacks and making eight total tackles (3.0 for loss).
 Despite the loss, Gulf Coast still got an impressive performance from   Javien Altine, who rushed for 86 yards and one  score on only nine carries.
The  victory was  the third in a row for Immokalee, bringing their record up to 7-2. Those  wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.3 points on average over those games. As for Gulf Coast, their  defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-4.
 Immokalee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gulf Coast, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Spruce Creek  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. The Hawks' defense has only allowed 12.8  points per game  this season, so the Sharks' offense will have their work cut out for them.
