Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lincoln-Way Central). They took their match on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 96-69 win over the Yorkville Christian Mustangs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Yorkville Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zach Marini, who posted 15 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tray Alford, who earned 14 points.

Lincoln-Way Central has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Yorkville Christian, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-5.

Lincoln-Way Central and Yorkville Christian should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Lincoln-Way Central (ranked 159th) will meet Sandburg (ranked 365th) at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Yorkville Christian (ranked 125th) will meet Islamic Foundation (ranked 686th) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
