Woodmont had lost five straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-6 to make it six. They had to suffer through a 49-7 loss at the hands of the Greenwood Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while the Eagles are ranked eighth).

Woodmont didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Everett Brajas.

As for Greenwood, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1. The matchup marked their most dominant win of the season.

It was another big night for Tristan Lewis, who threw for 166 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 72 yards and one TD on only eight carries. Another player making a difference was Martavious Hamilton, who rushed for 84 yards and one score on only ten carries.

Coming up, Woodmont will head out on the road to take on Mauldin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Greenwood, they will welcome J.L. Mann at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
