Baseball Recap: Coconino Comes Up Short

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Tuesday. Coconino came up short against Paradise Honors, falling 15-9.

Corbin Derr was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Ty Sevier was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Coconino now has a losing record of 2-3-1. As for Paradise Honors, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coconino will face off against Poston Butte at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Paradise Honors, they will head out to take on Deer Valley at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Paradise Honors is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.8 runs per game this season.
