 Ironton waltzed into their matchup  on Wednesday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They never let the Portsmouth Trojans onto the board and left with  a   5-0  victory. That's more bragging rights for Ironton, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 Not much got past  Braylin Wallace, who gave up just  three  hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Portsmouth off the board. Wallace has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in eight consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Bella Sorbilli, who  went 3-for-3 with a  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs.  Khamil Martin was another key contributor,  going 2-for-3 with a  stolen base and a  double.
 Ironton pushed their record up to 16-4 with that  win, which was their fifth straight  at home dating back to last season. As for Portsmouth, they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 4-12.
 Ironton has the luxury  of staying home for another  game and will welcome Russell at 2:00  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Portsmouth, they will head out on the road to  square off against  South Point at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday.
