Cherryville won the last time they faced North Gaston and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Ironmen blew past the Wildcats 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Ironmen.

Cherryville was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-21, 25-19.

Cherryville was led to victory by Kate Bookout and Mary Ellis Upchurch. Bookout had nine digs, while Upchurch had three aces.

They weren't the only good server: Cherryville was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Gaston only served six aces.

Cherryville's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for North Gaston, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Cherryville and North Gaston will both be playing West Lincoln the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will host the Rebels at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Ironmen will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
