Baseball Recap: Imperial Comes Up Short

Imperial's tournament run continued when they took on Rancho Buena Vista on Wednesday. The Tigers fell just short of the Longhorns by a score of 2-1. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Imperial saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Izaiah Perez, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Julian Jimenez also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Imperial's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Rancho Buena Vista, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.

Looking ahead, Imperial will challenge La Jolla at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rancho Buena Vista, they will take on Hemet in a tournament on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Longhorns' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
