Football Game Preview: Interlachen Rams vs. Hilliard Red Flashes

After both having extra time off, the Interlachen Rams and the Hilliard Red Flashes will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Interlachen's offense hasn't had much luck over their past five contests, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Interlachen is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Hilliard last Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Interlachen came up short against Hilliard, falling 32-6. The Rams were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Despite the loss, Interlachen saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Myah Vinson rushed for 81 yards and one touchdown on only five carries. Vinson's longest rush was for an impressive 56 yards, which helps to explain her lofty yards per carry total.

Hilliard's victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1. As for Interlachen, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
