Baseball Recap: Southwestern Extends Winning Streak to Three

Southwestern entered their tilt with Salamanca on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Warriors 13-2. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by six runs or more this season.

Judd Harris was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Harris was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

In other batting news, Oscar Harris was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was George Marshall, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

Southwestern was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The win got Southwestern back to even at 6-6. As for Salamanca, they dropped their record down to 6-6 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Southwestern will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
