Volleyball Game Preview: Logan/Palco vs. Western Plains Bobcats

Logan/Palco will face off against the Western Plains Bobcats at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Logan/Palco has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with seven straight defeats, while Western Plains will come in with ten straight wins.

Logan/Palco saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Osborne.

While Logan/Palco was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Western Plains made easy work of Weskan on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Western Plains not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Weskan between 19 and 21 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-19, 25-21.

Western Plains found their leader in sophomore Joshelyn Gomez, who had seven digs and four aces.

Western Plains was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in four consecutive matches.

Western Plains' win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Logan/Palco, their loss dropped their record down to 6-17.
