Toledo came tearing into Thursday's game with 13 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Bandon Tigers 13-4. 13 seems to be a good number for the Boomers as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Kealey Coxen spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on 11 hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Toledo got a massive performance out of Gracee Retherford, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most hits Retherford has posted since back in March of 2024. Faith Retherford was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles.

Toledo hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in four consecutive matchups.

Toledo pushed their record up to 15-2 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Bandon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-7.

Toledo has already played their next contest (against Bandon/Pacific), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Bandon, they will welcome Illinois Valley at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
