Volleyball Recap: Columbine Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Columbine was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Denver East last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rebels took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Castle View Sabercats on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Rebels in their meetings with the Sabercats: they've now lost five in a row.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-18, 22-25, 25-14.

Sofia Screaton paced Columbine's offense, picking up 14 kills. Screaton got some help from Maddie Lynett and her 19 assists. Lynett also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kaylee Yoder, each putting up three.

Columbine's loss dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Castle View, with the win, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 5-7.

Columbine has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Bear Creek on the 30th. As for Castle View, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Douglas County on the 25th.
