Preview: Providence Classical vs. NorthPoint Christian Academy NightHawks
Providence Classical and the NorthPoint Christian Academy NightHawks will face off at 6:45 p.m. on February 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in their respective states (Providence Classical is ranked 525th in South Carolina, while the NightHawks are ranked 500th in North Carolina).
Even though Walnut Grove Christian scored an imposing 63 points on Tuesday, Providence Classical still came out on top. Providence Classical took their match against the Christian Warriors 72-63.
Xan Rahalawicz was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with eight steals and seven assists. He hasn't dropped below two steals for 18 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Lahr, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, NorthPoint Christian Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. Their rough 66-41 defeat to Lee Park Prep might stick with them for a while. NorthPoint Christian Academy has not had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Providence Classical's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for NorthPoint Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.
