Softball Recap: Villa Madonna Vikings vs. Ludlow Panthers
For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Villa Madonna and Ludlow have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Saturday. Villa Madonna fell just short of Ludlow by a score of 7-6. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Cam Kratzer put in work no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 13 over six innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
