There's no place like home for Soddy Daisy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. Everything went their way against the Hixson Wildcats on Tuesday as the Soddy Daisy Trojans made off with an 11-3 win. The Trojans' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Luke Camp looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Soddy Daisy let Cooper Poe and Easton Mulder run wild. Poe scored three runs while going 4-for-4, while Mulder went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. That stolen base was Mulder's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jake Jackson, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3.

Soddy Daisy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory got Soddy Daisy back to even at 2-2. As for Hixson, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 6-1 record.

Looking ahead, Soddy Daisy is taking a road trip to square off against Rhea County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hixson, they will host Montgomery Central at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Montgomery Central has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.5 runs per game on average), something Hixson will no doubt try to take advantage of.
