Football Game Preview: Worcester Academy Hilltoppers vs. Greenwich Country Day Tigers

The Worcester Academy Hilltoppers will face off against the Greenwich Country Day Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Saturday, Worcester Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 24-20 to Canterbury School.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Greenwich Country Day). They took their game on Saturday with ease, bagging a 56-8 win over Capital Prep Harbor. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Greenwich Country Day's win came from a few key players Worcester Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Peter Costantino, who threw for 258 yards and three TDs while completing 72.2% of his passes. What's more, he racked up 153.9 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Elijah Canty, who picked up 153 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Greenwich Country Day didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Nick Triolo and Nash Edwards.

Greenwich Country Day now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Worcester Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
