Basketball Recap: Unity Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Unity Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Chicago Christian Knights 54-10. The matchup marked the Phoenix's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Chicago Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Imani Frazier out in front who posted seven points and 11 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mary Margaret Yeckering, who went 6 for 7 en route to 13 points.

Unity Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Chicago Christian, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Unity Christian Academy will challenge Islamic Foundation at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Chicago Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Richards at 2:00 p.m.
