Basketball Recap: Morgan City Comes Up Short

After flying high against A.J. Ellender last Tuesday, Morgan City came back down to earth. The Morgan City Tigers were beaten by the Vandebilt Catholic Terriers 65-24 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 286th, while the Terriers are ranked 11th).

Morgan City has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Vandebilt Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Morgan City will host Assumption at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Vandebilt Catholic, they will square off against Lutcher at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
