Soccer Recap: Grand Rapids Takes a Loss

Grand Rapids was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hermantown Hawks. That's two games in a row now that Grand Rapids have lost by just one goal.

Grand Rapids' loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Hermantown, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grand Rapids will face off against Superior at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hermantown, they will head out to face off against Duluth East at 5:30 p.m. on October 1.
