Recap: Hillcrest Trojans vs. Arlington Lions
The Hillcrest Trojans entered their tilt with the Arlington Lions with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Hillcrest walked away with a 31-21 victory over Arlington on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Hillcrest, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Robert Bustamante had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 183 yards and three touchdowns.
Although Arlington took the loss, they still got scores from Daniel Gonzalez, Izaac Gomez, and Akili Thomas.
Hillcrest's win was their third straight on the road , which pushed their record up to 5-6. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-9 La Sierra and 4-6 Arlington (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 34.8% over those games). As for Arlington, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
Hillcrest will head out on the road to face off against Linfield Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Linfield Christian will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Arlington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
