The Millard North Mustangs will challenge the Creighton Prep Bluejay at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Millard North 3.1, Creighton Prep 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Millard North's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over Lincoln Southeast. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won 13 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Collin Driffill tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out eight over 5.2 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted over his last four contests.
At the plate, Millard North got a massive performance out of Maverick Christiansen, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles. That's the most hits Christiansen has posted since back in April. Alex Buresh was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Creighton Prep faced Millard South in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Bluejay had just enough and edged out the Patriots 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bluejay have posted since April 25th.
Creighton Prep also got a great performance from Nolan Going as he tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Going has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Cal Anthony and Jack Cosgrove did most of the damage at the plate: Anthony got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs, while Cosgrove went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Hank Vosik, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Creighton Prep hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive matchups.
Millard North has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Creighton Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 24-13.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Millard North hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .327. However, it's not like Creighton Prep struggles in that department as they've averaged .323. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
