Baseball Game Preview: Dublin Coffman Shamrocks vs. Hilliard Bradley Jaguars

For the second straight game, Dublin Coffman will face off against Hilliard Bradley. The Shamrocks will head out to face off against the Jaguars at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

On Monday, Dublin Coffman needed a bit of extra time to put away Hilliard Bradley. They skirted past the Jaguars 8-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Shamrocks.

Holden Wilcox made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

In other pitching news, Anders Christianson looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

Back at the plate, Drew Walti was excellent, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Drew Lundgren also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Dublin Coffman kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive games.

Dublin Coffman's record now sits at 5-11. As for Hilliard Bradley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
