Soccer Game Preview: Stevenson vs. Barrington

The Stevenson Patriots will challenge the Barrington Broncos/Fillies at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Stevenson sitting on three straight victories and Barrington on five.

Stevenson is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Hersey. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Stevenson's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked eighth, while Hersey are ranked 42nd).

Ariana Glavatsky and Sydney An scored all three of Stevenson's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 23 goals.

Meanwhile, Barrington kept a clean sheet against Schaumburg on Saturday. They came out on top against the Saxons by a score of 2-0.

Stevenson's victory bumped their record up to 12-4-2. As for Barrington, their win bumped their record up to 17-3-1.
