Basketball Recap: Oak Glen Comes Up Short

Oak Glen suffered their biggest loss since February 17th on Monday. They had to suffer through a 71-35 loss at the hands of the Beaver Local Beavers. The defeat continues a trend for the Golden Bears in their matchups with the Beavers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Several Golden Bears players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gavin Geisse, who posted eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Knisley, who had eight points.

Oak Glen suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 4-3. As for Beaver Local, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Oak Glen wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 55-41 defeat against Catholic Central on the 28th. As for Beaver Local, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-20 victory against Buckeye Local on the 27th.
