Recap: Riverside Prep Silver Knights vs. Granite Hills Cougars
After a string of three wins, the Riverside Prep Silver Knights's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a hard 71-52 fall against Granite Hills. Riverside Prep was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Granite Hills apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Despite the defeat, Riverside Prep had strong showings from James Macey, who scored 18 points, and Raoul Churchill, who scored 8 points along with 10 rebounds and 5 assists. The game was Macey's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Keion Jordan, who scored 7 points.
Riverside Prep has fallen quite a ways from their 23-2 record last season and are now at 3-7. As for Granite Hills, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Riverside Prep's road trip will continue as they head out to face Academy for Academic Excellence at 1:30 p.m. on December 2nd. Hopefully Academy for Academic Excellence focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Friday. As for Granite Hills, they will face off against Serrano at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Serrano has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 284 points over their last four contests.
