Softball Recap: Colorado Has No Trouble Against Sonora

While Colorado put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Sonora. Colorado put the hurt on Sonora with a sharp 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won 12 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Colorado let Bryanna Munoz and Alexis Martinez run wild. Munoz went 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two RBI, while Martinez went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits Martinez has posted since back in February. Aj Goodney was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one triple and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: Colorado kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in five consecutive contests.

Colorado has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. Sonora's loss dropped their record down to 12-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Colorado will take on Eldorado at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sonora, they will square off against Christoval at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
