Softball Game Preview: Poteet Aggies vs. Cole Cougars

The Poteet Aggies will head out to face off against the Cole Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Poteet has given up an average of 9.1 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Poteet lost 17-2 to Marion on Tuesday. The Aggies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Cole and Saint Mary's Hall finished up their game with a 0-0 draw on Tuesday. The match marked the first time this year in which the Cougars were not able to get on the board.

Poteet's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. With that tie, Cole's record moves to 3-9-1.

Poteet came up short against Cole when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 7-4. Can Poteet avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
