Baseball Game Preview: Fisher Bunnies vs. Cerro Gordo/Bement Broncos

The Fisher Bunnies will face off against the Cerro Gordo/Bement Broncos at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fisher has now lost 14 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 24.

Fisher came up short against Fieldcrest on Monday, falling 13-2.

Fisher saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabe Henson, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one double. Andrew Todd also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Meanwhile, Cerro Gordo/Bement can bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They skirted past Unity Christian 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Broncos have posted since May 6, 2024.

Cerro Gordo/Bement's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 3-10. As for Fisher, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-15.

Fisher took their win against Cerro Gordo/Bement in their previous meeting back in April of 2023 by a conclusive 18-8 score. Will the Bunnies repeat their success, or do the Broncos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
