Football Game Recap: Sangre de Cristo vs. Mancos

Mancos were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They were fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Sangre de Cristo 64-8. That result was just more of the same for Mancos, who also won the last time these teams played.

Mancos started the contest off right with 50 first-half points. Meanwhile, Sangre de Cristo couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 50-0 heading into the break. Mancos put the game away in the third quarter with 14 points from the offense and zero points allowed from the defense. The win bumped their record up to 5-0. Sangre de Cristo are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-5.

Next week Mancos take on Sanford at 6:00 PM. Those two teams have set a high bar for this match after stand-out offensive performances in their previous contests. Sangre de Cristo will be staying on the road, facing off against Sargent.
