Flag Football Recap: Bradley-Bourbonnais Piles Up the Points Against Champaign Central

Bradley-Bourbonnais had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 43 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 44-6 victory over the Champaign Central Maroons. Given the Boilermakers' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois flag football rankings (they are ranked 17th, while the Maroons are ranked 97th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Bradley-Bourbonnais to victory were Elise Munsterman and Nevaeh Brown. Munsterman threw for 458 yards and five TDs while completing 77.1% of her passes, while Brown gained 234 total yards and two touchdowns. What's more, Munsterman racked up 158 passer rating, the most she's had since back in October of 2024. A healthy portion of Munsterman's aerial production (80 yards to be exact) went to Sophia Darling.

Bradley-Bourbonnais didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Kylie Stanek. Another thorn in Champaign Central's side was Peyton Montgomery, who picked up two sacks and made ten total tackles.

Bradley-Bourbonnais' win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Champaign Central, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Bradley-Bourbonnais didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-0 victory against Mahomet-Seymour on the 13th. As for Champaign Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 50-14 win against Urbana on the 13th.
