Volleyball Recap: Midway Victorious + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cleveland, Midway was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the South Johnston Trojans as they made off with a 3-0 victory. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Midway walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-21, 25-21.

Gracyn Hall paced Midway's offense, picking up 14 kills. Hall got some help from Ella Clark and her 20 assists. Finally, Peyton Herring kept Midway's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Midway's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for South Johnston, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Midway will face off against Princeton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Johnston, they will square off against Pine Forest at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. South Johnston is facing Pine Forest at the right time seeing as Pine Forest is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
